K-12 Mandarin Program Administrators Conference

Featuring a keynote Chris Livaccari, Director of Education and Chinese Language Initiatives at the Asia Society

Hosted by the Confucius Institute at the University of Minnesota

CIUMN Administrator's Conferences offer insight into the world of K-12 Mandarin Chinese language program administration for educators interested in starting or developing Mandarin language programs at the school or district level.

This year's conference will feature guest speaker Chris Livaccari, Director of Education and Chinese Language Initiatives at the Asia Society. Mr. Livaccari will focus on strategies for building strong and sustainable Chinese language programs in the context of the rapid growth of Chinese language programs in US schools.

Confucius Institute and Minnesota Department of Education staff will be on hand to offer support and programmatic advice for implementing programs in Minnesota.

About Chris Livaccari

Chris Livaccari is Director of Education and Chinese Language Initiatives at Asia Society in New York. He is a Chinese and Japanese language educator and a former U.S. Foreign Service officer in Tokyo and Shanghai. The Asia Society is one of the leading voices of Chinese language education in the United States.

Cost: $35 per person. Lunch will be provided.
