Lecture: "Jews in Modern China"

Xu Xin (徐新) is a professor in the Department of Religious Studies and the director of the Center for Jewish Studies at Nanjing University, China. His areas of research include Jewish culture and Jews in China. He has been a recipient of the James Friend Memorial Award and has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, Honoris Causa by Bar-Ilan University in recognition of his dedication to Judiac studies and important research on Jewish people in China. Professor Xu Xin's academic lecture will focus on the topic of Jews in Modern China, from the 1840s to the present.
